About this tool
A JSON Schema describes what valid data looks like: which properties are required, what type each value must be, which values are allowed, and how arrays and nested objects are shaped. This validator checks your JSON against a schema you provide and reports every violation, not just the first one.
What a JSON Schema can check
Schemas can require properties, restrict values to a type, an enum or a number range, limit string length, and describe the items allowed in an array. Nested objects are checked recursively, so the error path tells you exactly where in the document the problem is.
Common validation errors
These are the errors you will see most often and what they mean.
type "29" is a string, but the schema expects an integer required the object has no "email" property enum "owner" is not one of admin, editor, viewer additionalProperties "extra" is not defined in the schema minimum -1 is below the minimum of 0
How to use it
- Paste your JSON data in the left box and your JSON Schema in the right box.
- Each violation is listed with its property path and the reason, such as "must be integer" or "missing required property email".
- Click an error to jump to that property in your data, fix it, and the list updates instantly.
